The median price for land, ranches and rural property in Minnesota was $361,769. The average price of land advertised for sale in Minnesota was $469,115. Lands of America research shows that over half the land in the North Star State is privately owned. Unsurprisingly given its unofficial state nickname, the "Land of 1,000 Lakes," Minnesota has water running through its proverbial veins. Of Minnesota's 87 counties, Saint Louis County had the most rural property and land for sale, while Pine County was trending recently as the county with the most land sales recorded through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program.
